Business fibre installation lead times

Business fibre installation lead times

This article is for FTTB clients who need to know their installation lead times.

Installation lead time depends on whether fibre already exists in your area or not.
Below are the installation lead times for different ISP's & FNO's.

Vox Fibre

On-net area = Fibre already exists in the area. Vox just has to pull the fibre cable into the street/building. The installation lead time is 4-6 months.

Off-net area = Fibre does not exist in the area yet, therefore the FNO (fibre network owner) needs to build the infrastructure and then install a POP (point of presence) in the area. The fibre then needs to be pulled from the street into the building which is why it is more expensive and the installation lead time is 6-9 months.

Preferred & connected areas = Fibre infrastructure already exists inside the building, therefore the installation lead time is 4 - 8 weeks.

Liquid Telecom Fibre

ODF / Connected buildings = Fibre is already available in the building, therefore installation lead time will be 4 - 8 weeks.

On-net / Standard area = Fibre already exists in the area. Liquid Telecom just has to pull the fibre cable into the street/building. Installation lead time is 4-6 months.
