D-Link G413X | How To Set Up Your Router

This guide is for customers who want to set up their D-Link G413X router for the first time.


Step 1: Access The Router Interface

  1. Open your preferred web browser (eg, Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
  2. In the address bar, type 10.0.0.2 (unless the IP address was changed previously), then press Enter.


Step 2: Select Interface Type

Choose your connection type: 3G/4G


Step 3: Test The Connection

Click the Test button.
  1. If successful, you will see: ''Hardware interface connected properly.''
  2. If it fails, you will see: ''3G/4G connection incomplete.'' In this case, reinsert your SIM card and restart the router.

Step 4: Continue Setup

Click Next to proceed.

Step 5: Configure Internet Settings

  1. The system will auto-detect your connection.
  2. Select DHCP mode, then click Next.


Step 6: Set Your Wi-Fi Name And Password

Update both your 2.4 GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi settings.
  1. SSID: This is your Wi-Fi name (the name that appears when you connect devices).
  2. WPA Pre-Shared Key: This is your Wi-Fi password.

Step 7: Change The Admin Login Password

Create a new login password for accessing the router's interface in the future. (This helps protect your network from unauthorised access.)


Step 8: Review And Apply Settings

  1. A summary page will display all your chosen settings.
  2. Take a screenshot or photo of this page for reference.
  3. Click Apply to save and complete the setup.

Your D-Link G413X router is now set up and ready to connect you to the internet.
