How to block your Telkom LTE SIM card


This article is for Telkom LTE SIM Card holders who would like to block their SIM Card due to the SIM Card being damaged or stolen. 

Steps to block your Telkom LTE SIM Card:

Blocking your Telkom LTE Sim Card is very straight forward. There are 4 easy and simple steps to follow to black list your Telkom LTE SIM card.

Step 1

Call 081 180 from a Telkom, Vodacom, Virgin Mobile, Cell C or MTN phone.

Step 2

Inform the call center agent that your SIM Card has been stolen and that you would like to block the SIM card.

Step 3

You will need to provide the call center agent with the following details to have your mobile phone blacklisted and the SIM card blocked:
  1. Mobile phone number
  2. IMEI number
  3. ID number
  4. Physical address

Step 4

Go to the nearest Telkom store to get your SIM swapped. You will need to take your ID document with you, as a proof of identity to the Telkom store for RICA purposes
