MTN Uncapped LTE Fair Usage Policy Explained

MTN Uncapped LTE Fair Usage Policy Explained

This article is for new and existing MTN customers who are experiencing low LTE speeds.

You could be experiencing slow speeds due to your LTE data usage. MTN reserves the right to apply Fair Usage Policies on the Uncapped LTE account if a customer‘s behaviour is deemed to be affecting the user experience of other customers on the MTN network.

What is a Fair Usage Policy?

A Fair Usage Policy (FUP) is a policy which is utilised internationally by broadband providers of all types of mobile internet to ensure that every subscriber uses their data in moderation. When subscribers use large amounts of mobile data, other users in the same network can be adversely affected. In order to prevent those few mass-data consumers from eating into the bandwidth of the other users, an internet service provider (ISP) may reduce the users data speed.

What speed can I expect from MTN Uncapped LTE?
