How to Pay Your Telkom Account via EFT

For Telkom customers who want to settle their account by EFT.

An EFT is one of the simplest ways to pay your Telkom account: no queues, no counters. Here's everything you need to get it right the first time: Telkom's banking details, how long payments take to reflect, and what to do once you've paid.

Telkom's EFT banking details

Load Telkom as a beneficiary on your banking app or internet banking using these details:

  • Account holder: Telkom

  • Bank: ABSA

  • Branch code: 632005

  • Account number: 4076155598

  • Payment reference: Your unique EFT reference number, found on the first page of your Telkom invoice

Your reference number matters. It's unique to your account, and it's how Telkom matches your payment to your bill. Get it from your invoice and enter it exactly: a missing or incorrect reference is the number one cause of payments going astray.

Before you pay: 3 things to know

  1. Payments take 2–3 working days to reflect on the Telkom system.

  2. Pay at least 10 days before your debit order date. If your EFT hasn't reflected by the time the debit order runs, you could end up paying twice.

  3. Account handed over to a collection agency? If your account is with a third-party collection agency, the agency may debit your account on any given date. Contact Telkom to confirm the position before making a payment.

After you've paid

Send your proof of payment to Telkom at Documents-TM@telkom.co.za. It's the quickest way to make sure your payment is allocated to your account without delay.
