[How To] Set up your D-Link LTE Router

    This article is for existing Telkom LTE customers who need to set up their D-Link LTE router. 

Follow these steps to set up your D-Link LTE router: 

A)

Flip the router upside down and open the flap at the bottom.


B)

Press down and slide the SIM card holder to the right then flip open the tray.


C)

Slide the SIM card into the open tray with the gold contact points facing up


D)

Close the tray, press down and slide the SIM card holder to the left to lock it. Then restore the flap at the back of the router.


  

    Step 2. Connect the power connector of the power supply to the power socket at the back of the router. Then plug the power supply into the wall and switch it on. 

    Step 3. Set up your router using either Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable.

  • Wi-Fi: Use the default Wi-Fi username and password printed on the bottom of the router to connect your device to the Wi-Fi.
  • Ethernet Cable: Connect the yellow RJ-45 Ethernet cable to any yellow LAN port at the back of the router and the other end into your PC LAN port.

 

 

Step 4. Launch an internet browser (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari) on your connected device such as your laptop or mobile phone. In the URL web address field, type in 10.0.0.2 and press enter. The Quick Setup wizard will start automatically. Follow the steps of the Setup Wizard to finish the configuration of the router.










 

Step 5. LTE setup

  • On step 1 of the Quick Setup wizard, select 3G/4G from the dropdown menu.
  • Click Test to verify that your SIM card is inserted correctly.
  • If a green message confirms "Hardware interface connected properly" then click next


 

Step 6. Wizard Step 3

Set up a Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password (WPA Preshare key) for both the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz.


Step 7. Wizard Step 4

Set an Admin Name & Admin Password for logging into the router. These details will allow you to log into the router if you want to change any settings.

 

 Step 8. Wizard Step 5

Remember to write down the details on this page and keep it safe for you to refer back to it at a later stage. Click Apply to save.
