[How to] transfer a call using DSL Telecom's Cloud Phone System LinkUs Application on Desktop or Mobile
This article is for existing DSL Telecom Cloud Phone System users.
The DSL Telecom Cloud Phone System has many call features. One of them being a Call Transfer.
Call Transfers or Call Forwarding is a process of relocating an inbound call to another phone or messaging system.
There are 2 ways to transfer / forward a call:
1. Unattended / Blind Transfer
A blind transfer is when you transfer the caller to a ring group or another agent without speaking to the new call receiver first and advising them of the incoming call. Using this option, the agent you select for transferring the call will hear their phone ring and can accept or reject the transfer. Once the call is accepted, it will be dropped on your end
Here is how to perform an Unattended / Blind Transfer using the DSL Telecom LinkUs Desktop or Mobile application:
Step 1. Answer the call
Step 2. Select the blind 'Transfer' button on the menu screen
Step 3. Enter the name or extension you want to reach
Step 4. Select transfer & the 2 calls are merged together

2. Attended Transfer
An attended transfer is when you call the receiving party first and then transfer the call to them after ensuring they are available. The call will end on your side and the customer will continue the conversation with the receiving party you transferred the call to.
Here is how to perform an Attended Transfer using the DSL Telecom LinkUs Desktop or Mobile application:
Step 1. Answer the call
Step 2. Select the 'Attended' button on the menu screen
Step 3. Enter the extension or name of the intended recipient
Step 4. Select 'Transfer' (once they have answered the call and confirmed that they are available)
Step 5. Transferred successfully: The call is merged together
