How continuous internet sessions may impact your Telkom LTE data usage

This article is for existing Telkom LTE customers.

Your Telkom LTE data bundle will consist of Anytime data and Night surfer data.

Telkom LTE Anytime data:  Anytime data is consumed at any time of the day, readily available for 24hrs.
Telkom LTE Night surfer data:  Night surfer data is only available between 12am - 7am.

Please note: If you have a continuous active session for a few hours that rolls into 12am, you will continue to use your anytime data. e.g. Should you be streaming a 2hr movie from 11 pm, the movie will end at 1am and you will be consuming your anytime data, as the active session was initiated before 12am. Continuing to watch another movie from the same platform will still be consuming your anytime data as the original session that was started at 11 pm is still ongoing.

Telkom LTE Night surfer data will not be activated automatically. You will have to action one of the following to start consuming your Night surfer data:

  1. End your active streaming session before 12am and start a new session at 12:01am.

  2. Reboot your router a few minutes before 12am for your night surfer data to kick in.
