Telkom LTE SIM Activation

This article is for new and existing Telkom LTE customers who are waiting for the LTE SIM to be activated.

Your Telkom SIM activation can take up to 72 working hours after the delivery of your package. Once delivered, the couriers will notify Telkom and RICA of the SIM card.

If your order includes a router:

  1. While waiting for the SIM to be activated, you can insert the SIM into the router. The red light on the router confirms that the SIM is still inactive. Once the red light changes to a light green/blue colour, the SIM will be active.

  2. To connect to the internet, find the username and the password at the bottom of the router or use the username and password that you have created during the setup phase.

If after 72 hours, the SIM is still not active, reboot the router. If it is still not active after this, you may get in touch with Telkom support to assist.
