When Telkom requires your confirmation of your address, here is what you can provide:
This article is for new Telkom customers who need to know what to provide when Telkom asks for confirmation of their address.
In some cases Telkom might have trouble picking up your address on the Telkom mapping system, so here are a few things you can provide in order to pinpoint your exact address and to avoid further delays.
Here is what you can provide:
A utility bill such as a municipal water bill, light bill, rates bill or a statement from your property managing agent that clearly depicts the delivery/installation address and contains an ERF or Stand number for the property.
Below are examples of utility bills from Cape Town & Johannesburg metropoles and we have highlighted the Erf/Stand number on these examples in red, so you may locate it easier on your bill.
Alternatively, you can also provide the exact GPS coordinates for the delivery/installation address. View the GIF below to learn how to find your exact GPS coordinates using Google MAPS.
Another option is, if you have a Telkom landline at the premises, provide that number so that Telkom can use it to help locate the premises.
