Relocating premises with a Vox Fibre service

Relocating premises with a Vox Fibre service

This article is for existing Vox fibre clients who are relocating and want to move with their Vox fibre service.

Should you need to relocate your home, your fibre connection cannot be moved to your new premises. Your fibre contract is a fixed line contract. The fixed line fibre contract is linked to the physical address that your fibre is installed at, therefore fibre is non-transferable from the fixed address that you signed up for.

Here is what you need to do if you are relocating with a fibre service:

Old Premises:

1. Transfer To New Owner/Tenant:

Transfer your current fibre services to new owner/tenant. You can do this at no additional cost. The new owner/ tenant moving into your current home will take over the remaining months of your contract.

2. A Site Move Cancellation:

Scenario 1: Cancelling your contract within the 12 month commitment period.

You will be charged with the installation cost of the fibre line with your FNO.

Here is a indication of what the installation costs are across the various FNOs:

Scenario 2: Cancelling your contract at the end of the 12 month commitment period.

Provide the Vox Cancellations Department with 60 days notice before relocating premises, by emailing cancellations@voxtelecom.co.za.  You will not be charged with a installation fee if you request your cancellation to occur at the end or after your 12 month commitment term.

*N.B Vox encourages that you take your fibre router with you to your new premises and only leave the ONT behind. When your fibre at your old premises is cancelled, Vox will still let you keep that fibre router for your new fibre line at your new premises. Your old router will be used to set up your fibre at the new address.

New Premises:

Provide the Vox Cancellations Department with 60 days notice before relocating premises, by emailing cancellations@voxtelecom.co.za. We will assist you in applying for the fibre service at the new premises and communicate and process your application directly with Vox. Vox will cancel the existing fibre line on the date you're moving out and create a new contract for your new address. The new contract will be put on standby until you move into your new premises so that when you relocate you will have a new fibre line ready for you at your new premises. The new Vox Fibre contract will start again at 12 months but will include free activation, installation and a fibre router.
