When Will My First Telkom LTE Debit Order Go Off?
This guide is for new Telkom LTE customers who want to know exactly when their first debit order deduction will happen. The short answer: it depends on when your SIM is activated, not the day you place your order, and on which debit date you've chosen.
Your signup date isn't your activation date
Signing up today doesn't start your billing. Your free data period and your first bill are both calculated from your SIM activation date, not your order date. Between the two, your order typically goes through:
Delivery: 3–5 working days after your order is processed.
SIM activation: 24–72 hours after you receive your SIM or router.
Your debit date determines the exact day
Telkom lets you choose your debit date: the 5th, 15th, 20th, 25th, or the last day of the month. This choice changes exactly when your first deduction happens:
15th, 25th, or last day: your first bill is debited in the month following your SIM activation, in line with the general rule above.
5th: your first bill is debited one month later than the other dates, on the 5th of the month after that, because Telkom bills the 5th in arrears.
Example: signing up today
If you signed up on 20 July 2026, assuming a smooth delivery (3–5 working days) and activation (24–72 hours after delivery), your SIM activation would likely land in the very first days of August 2026.
Data from your activation date to 31 August would be free. Your first bill would then be for September, debited on whichever date you chose: the 15th, 25th, or last day of September, or, if you chose the 5th, on 5 October instead.
