Understanding the different LED status lights on your Telkom fibre and LTE router

Read here to learn about what the different colour lights mean on the D-Link DWR-956M and Huawei B535 routers.

The LEDs on your router indicate the status of the connection between your router and the devices that are connected to it. They also indicate the status of your Internet, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and WPS connections.

D-Link DWR-956M Wi-Fi Fibre & LTE Router:


- Blue Light: Connected to LTE or Fibre network.
- Green Light: Connected to 3G network.
- Orange Light: Connected to 2G/GSM or router is starting up (solid orange). Blinking orange indicates recovery mode due to a firmware fault.
- Red Light: No connection.

D-Link DWR-956M Wi-Fi Fibre & LTE Router:


Huawei B535 Fibre & LTE Router:

- Blue Light: Connected to LTE network.
- Cyan Light: Connected to 3G network.
- Yellow Light: Connected to 2G network.
- Green Light: Connected to Ethernet network.
- Red Light: Indicates high temperature, SIM card recognition failure (PIN, PUK, or SIM lock), or failure to register with the network.
