This article is for new Telkom LTE customers who have purchased the Huawei E5577 mifi portable router.

Steps to setting up your Telkom LTE Huawei E5577 mifi router

Step 1: Insert your SIM card and battery

1.1.1 Remove the back cover of your Mobile Mifi router.

1.1.2 Insert your SIM card into the card holder.

1.1.3 Insert your microSD into the card holder.

1.2 Insert your battery.

1.3 Put the back cover back on. Your pocket router is now ready to be charged.

Step 2: Charging your device

To charge your E5577 portable wifi router for the first time; connect your device to one of the charges and plug it into a plug socket or alternatively the usb port on your computer.

Step 3: Turning on your Huawei mifi router

Press and hold down the power key until the screen lights up, indicating that the router is turned on.

Step 4: Connect to the internet

4.1 Your device should automatically connect to the network and turn on the WiFi signal. It usually takes at least a minute to connect to the network.

- If data is transmitted, the 4G pocket router will automatically connect to the internet.

- If data is not transmitted for a period of time, the router will automatically disconnect from the network connection.
