Steps to reset your Telkom Huawei E5577 routers username and password

This article is for new Telkom LTE customers who would like to reset their Huawei E5577 username and password. 

 Steps to reset your E5577 router login and password

Step 1: To login to the Huawei E5577 router, ensure that you are connected to the device via WiFi and then open your web browser and type the default IP Address 192.168.8.1 in the address bar.

Step 2: You should now see the router login page with two text fields where you can type a username and a password.

How to change the Huawei E5577 login details

Step 3: The default username for your Huawei E5577 router is admin and the default password is admin

Step 4: In the login page of the routers web user interface, type-in the username and password, click login and now you should be able to see the Huawei E5577 router control panel.

*If you have already changed your username and password for the Huawei E5577 router and forget them then you can simply reset the router as explained above.


Step 5: Change the default login username and password for the E5577 mobile router in the settings by entering in your new username and password and confirming that it is the correct password.

*Choose a complex and hard to guess password for your Huawei which only you will be able to remember.

Step 1: Once logged into your web management interface, select Wi-Fi then select Wi-Fi Security Settings.

Step 2: Select System and then click modify password to change your E5577 Wifi password.

Step 3: Select Wi-Fi Security Settings to ensure data security on your wireless network.
